Runner v. Yogi?

Recently I have been slacking with my running… alright who am I kidding, I have basically stopped. There are a ton of excuses I have, including how terrible I feel when I run in the heat, but when push comes to shove, I’m not running because I just don’t feel like running.

I started doing yoga at an amazing studio Yogacara which has been everything I had hoped for and more. From the small class sizes to the welcoming teachers and students, I have found everything about the studio to really fit my needs. If you are in Vancouver I would heavily recommend checking it out (and they are having a new membership deal where you can go for only 15$ a week)! – I want to add, don’t be shy if you are new to yoga, the teachers are really accommodating and help newcomers adopt lighter versions of the poses.

Anyways, I know that pretty soon as the weather starts to cool down I will get back into the running thing, but for now I am quite happy to do yoga. I have found it hard recently to really consider myself a runner, but at the same time I am definitely not a yogi. I am somewhere in between, and what’s best about it is I am really listening to my body and doing what feels right for it!
